Cars.com has ranked the best-selling mid-size sedans costing less than $27,000 at a time with plenty of movement in the category, which has seen at least four major redesigns for the 2015 model year.

Judges ranked the 10 contenders based on 11 criteria, including whether it was worth the money; handling; acceleration; combined MPG; ride; interior quality; comfort; tech and entertainment options; trunk and in-cabin storage; noise; and child-safety seats.

Following four days of testing outside of Baltimore, the vehicles were ranked with the Hyundai Sonata earning the top score (803 points) followed by the Subaru Legacy (741.5), Volkswagen Passat (718.5), Mazda6 (716), Chevrolet Malibu (676.5), Ford Fusion (665), Chrysler 200 (656), Honda Accord (649.5), Nissan Altima (629.5), and Toyota Camry (621).
