The top trending vehicle models in five categories were announced at the 2017 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Selected by manufacturing exhibitors of the world's premier automotive trade show, the Ford F-Series was named the "Hottest Truck" at the automotive trade show. The F-Series has received the honor three years in a row.

"Every year at the SEMA Show, we see vehicles emerge that are embraced by the aftermarket community," said Chris Kersting, SEMA president and CEO. "SEMA Show exhibitors are at the forefront of the industry and have the unique ability to identify the hottest vehicles emerging for future trends. The SEMA Award recognizes the vehicles that our industry leaders have selected."

The "Hottest Truck award recognizes the “pick up” truck segment, represented by vehicles with an open cargo bed. New 2017 and 2018 trucks were eligible.

More than 2,400 exhibitors from the 2017 SEMA Show voted to determine what vehicle model is the hottest new and emerging vehicle. Winning vehicles help guide consumers toward the hottest-trending and most accessory friendly vehicles on the market.

The exhibitors who select the award winners are manufacturers of products designed to improve performance, safety, and convenience, as well as those that enhance appearance and comfort. The SEMA Award heightens awareness for aftermarket products, and it is an example of the industry's partnership between automakers and aftermarket manufacturers.
