Chrysler held its 2011 Model-Year Fleet Preview in Detroit May 24-25. Sergio Marchionne, CEO of Fiat S.p.A. and Chrysler Group, LLC, spoke positively about the future of Chrysler, which was well-received by attendees. Fleet sales were up substantially in the first quarter, and Marchionne expressed his recognition of the importance of fleet business. Also discussed were the automaker’s five-year product plan. The company is working to improve its interiors and has set a goal to improve fuel economy by more than 25 percent by 2014. The Pentastar V-6 engine will be replacing seven separate V-6 engines. Several models on display included the redesigned Charger, Durango, Compass, and 300. Attendees also had the opportunity to test drive  2011 models and upcoming models, such as the Fiat 500.
