If there's ever been a quintessential work truck in the history of commercial vehicles, it's probably the milk truck. As these trucks from the 1950s show, these milk hauling truck was also a relatively sophisticated vehicle for its time. 

The cutaway vehicles are upfit with a specialized box, which could help keep the cargo cold. 

The trucks were operated by Herman Brotz and the Brotz Bros in Delavan, Wis.
