Daimler Vans USA, LLC is recalling approximately 7,433 2015 to 2017 Mercedes-Benz Metris midsize vans because the transmission support may not have been properly tightened to the vehicle body during production. This scenario could potentially cause damage to the driveshaft leading to a loss of power to the wheels, which increases the risk of a crash.

To fix the problem, the company will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the transmission support mounting bolts, replacing or tightening them as needed at no cost to owners.

The company has not yet provided a detailed notification schedule. Vehicle owners may contact the manufacturer's customer service at (877) 762-8267.
