Fleet FAQ? Fleet Management & Leasing

Q. What safety features should I consider as part of an upfit?

A. The right upfit design can significantly mitigate safety risks. Industries that rely on drivers and technicians to operate vehicle equipment are particularly at risk for workers compensation insurance claims and should consider upfit packages that are ergonomically designed for specific job requirements. Step bumpers, side steps, grab handles, and drop-down ladder racks are all options. Camera systems, front and rear sensing systems, back-up alarms, and spot mirrors are all ways to reduce vehicle accidents.
