Fleet FAQ? Telematics & Fleet Tracking

Q. I'm interested in telematics, but every provider I’m looking at doesn’t have quite what I need. Is there a way I can add customized functionality to a telematics solution?

A. Yes, depending on the provider, there are a number of ways you can customize a telematics solution to meet your individual needs.

Some providers will make adjustments to telematics features based on fleet requests, though these may be limited due to the provider’s resources. Other providers, including Geotab, have an open API platform that allow fleets and their companies to develop their own customized solutions.

For fleets that want customized features, but don’t have the resources to develop their own apps, Geotab’s marketplace is filled with apps developed by Geotab and its partners that meet a host of specific fleet needs from route optimization to workforcemanagement. The Geotab Marketplace features both paid and free add-ons.
