American Suzuki Motor Corp. (ASMC) announced July 31 it will start
its "Zero, Zero & 7" program -- a zero down payment, zero percent
financing offer combined with a new 7-year/100,000-mile powertrain
limited warranty effective Aug. 1, 2002.
Suzuki claims the "Zero, Zero" finance offer is the best in the industry
offering zero down payment, zero percent financing up to five years on
all Suzuki 2002/2003 models.
The warranty coverage is seven years or 100,000 miles -- whichever
comes first. Suzuki says its warranty has no deductibles, and is transferable from owner-to-owner, which boosts resale
and trade-in values.
"Suzuki provides a smart buy for savvy customers," said American
Suzuki president Rick Suzuki. "Some automakers provide good finance
offers and others offer good warranties, but Suzuki offers smart
customers both a great finance offer and a solid warranty. The best
part about Suzuki's warranty program is that it's transferable, which
means our buyers can enjoy better resale value. This underscores the
corporation's confidence in our vehicles' quality."
The new program is offered on all 2002 and 2003 Suzuki models,
including the Suzuki XL-7, Grand Vitara and Vitara sport-utility
vehicles, Aerio, Aerio SX and Esteem car models.
According to the company, the 7-year/100,000-mile warranty is part of Suzuki's "Open Road
Promise," a new three-tiered program designed to strengthen Suzuki's
customer satisfaction and bolster consumer confidence in the Suzuki
line. Other "Open Road Promise" elements include the 24-hour,
365-a-day Roadside Assistance Program and the Warranty Repair Courtesy
Vehicle Program which provides a courtesy rental vehicle through
Enterprise-Rent-A-Car.
