Honda North America executives have said that prices for the 2003 US Honda Accord line will increase less than 2%, or roughly $US500, though extra equipment has been added, Reuters reported. Honda executive vice president Tom Elliott told Reuters August 16 that prices for the 2003 Accord sedan and coupe would range from less than $20,000 for a base DX sedan to about $26,000 for a V6-powered EX coupe. Elliott also said that $700 to $1,500 worth of technology had been added to help keep Accord sales at about 400,000 a year. Honda executives told Reuters that they were concerned the Accord had grown too conservative, and was not appealing to younger buyers.
