FleetBoss Global Positioning Solutions, Inc., based in Fern Park, Fla., announced Oct. 14 the beta-test release of FleetBoss AutoGraphics Software, Enterprise Edition, its first release to provide GPS- based fleet management in a network environment. As a client/server product, FleetBoss AutoGraphics Enterprise Edition allows data to be collected and shared across an organization’s LAN/WAN infrastructure. “Our software engineers have greatly extended the capability and applicability of our flagship software product,” said Lawrence Carroll, vice president of research and development. “With its fully relational database structure, improved record handling and archiving, and a host of other functional enhancements, our enterprise edition brings all the time and cost saving benefits of our standalone products to the larger, corporate environment,” he added. The current version of FleetBoss software has been in service for over two years. It will remain the company’s standalone, single-station solution as the new Enterprise Edition can be installed as a deluxe, standalone solution and/or comprehensive network solution. The beta-test will be conducted by select end-users, identified and screened by the FleetBoss authorized dealer network and approved by the FleetBoss R&D team. Eligible candidates will typically run larger fleets of upwards to 100 vehicles and have an established LAN/WAN infrastructure. Beta Testers will provide performance reports back to FleetBoss.
