Wright Express, a provider of fleet cards and fleet management services, launched its online application, WEXOnline, in 1997. In 2002, the company rolled out the application to all lines of business, including Wright Express Universal Card users, as well as private label and co-brand users through a sister program, FleetServices Online. Now, according to the company, there are more than one million card users online. Wright Express claims the online application allows fleet managers to perform account maintenance, run detailed reports and obtain accounting information from an integrated browser that can be accessed through a single login. Overall, more than one-third of all Wright Express cards are now managed online. The company further says that the application offers managers electronic billing that posts immediately at the monthly close date, real-time account maintenance, email alerts when a card's parameters have been exceeded and reports to pull out the data necessary to better manage a fleet. "At Wright Express, we strive to differentiate and innovate through technology, allowing us to better serve our customers and partners and to make their jobs easier," said Michael Dubyak, president of Wright Express. "Our online application empowers our customers to perform their own maintenance, to use query reporting tools and to manage and monitor their drivers. Soon, they will even be able to map sites. Our online application clearly puts us in a strong leadership position to serve fleets more effectively." South Portland-based Wright Express is a provider of fleet charge cards to the fleet maintenance and fueling industry with its cards accepted at more than 160,000 locations. Wright Express also provides information management, payment processing, and financial services to fleets through card partnerships with oil companies and fleet management companies. Through its own universal fleet card program, its partners' card programs and its MasterCard program, Wright Express has nearly four million commercial cards in its markets. Wright Express LLC, a subsidiary of Cendant Corp., employs more than 640 people at its headquarters in South Portland, Maine and its subsidiary in Salt Lake City, Utah.
