Navigation Technologies, a provider of digital maps for vehicle navigation, Internet/wireless applications and business solutions announced the appointment of David Mullen as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Mullen will be based in the company's Chicago headquarters and will report to President and Chief Executive Officer, Judson Green. "Navigation Technologies' will tap Dave's considerable experience in the external marketplace to help the company position itself appropriately in the years ahead," said Green. "Dave will serve as an important advisor to me and our senior management team, bringing more than two decades of experience in the technology, healthcare and financial services industries." Mullen's extensive experience includes several chief financial officer posts leading acquisitions, private financing initiatives and initial public offerings. He joins Navigation Technologies most recently from Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, Inc, where he was chief financial officer. At Allscripts, Mullen helped lead private financing initiatives, orchestrated two public offerings that raised over $200 million, and completed six acquisitions for the $70 million publicly held provider of point-of-care decision support software for physicians. Prior to joining Allscripts, Mullen was CFO at Enterprise Systems, Inc., a publicly held company that developed and marketed software applications for healthcare providers. While at Enterprise, he led a team in the acquisition of Enterprise's largest competitor. Mullen also held numerous positions including president and COO at CCC Information Services, Inc., a public company that provides computerized information services to the claims departments of every major automobile insurer in the United States and four Canadian provinces. Mullen began his career at Arthur Young & Company (now Ernst & Young), where he spent a number of years in the audit and systems consulting practices. Mullen holds a Bachelor's degree from Princeton University and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
