Volvo Cars of North America (VCNA) has welcomed Factory Scheduled Maintenance (FSM) to its 2004 fleet operations. The company says FSM will aid in keeping maintenance costs down, thus reducing the Volvo's overall lifecycle costs and also helping the automaker have a completive cost/mile fleet expense. FSM allows for scheduled maintenance every 7500 miles at any Volvo dealership. Volvo already offers a warranty plan that covers the car for 4 years/50,000 miles, and FSM is a complement to that existing program, according to the company. Volvo's 2004 order bank is now open to fleet buyers, with sales beginning May 15, 2003.
