Televigation has launched TeleNavTrack, which it calls the first mobile phone-based tracking service with integrated audible and visual global positioning system (GPS) navigation, electronic time sheet reporting and interactive dispatching, that operates over Nextel Communication's all-digital wireless network. "The solution improves productivity and significantly reduces operational costs of investing in additional equipment or IT personnel support," the company said in a press release. With TeleNavTrack, dispatchers are able to manage fleets from any PC, locate drivers closest to a customer or job location and send dispatch messages right to a driver's Motorola Java(TM) technology-enabled mobile phone with GPS capabilities, according to Televigation. The company said this service also gives fleet managers the ability to track -- in real-time -- field worker activities, such as hours worked, places/locations visited, speeds, job progress and vehicle paths. The field worker, in turn, is able to get detailed job instructions, as well as either visual or audible GPS directions to any delivery stop. "Many companies with mobile fleets and field workers, such as transportation and field service companies, want to be more aware of the locations of their vehicles and analyze their operations more effectively," said Sal Dhanani, senior director of marketing at Televigation. "TeleNavTrack significantly helps achieve just that, while improving fleet operations at all levels, from manager to dispatcher to field worker." TeleNavTrack, a fully hosted 100 percent Web-based service, is now available at www.telenavtrack.net. The monthly price starts at $9.99 per month, per device for the basic service, which includes GPS tracking, timesheets and reporting. About Televigation Televigation is a leading provider of wireless motion-based services, which include GPS navigation and tracking. Televigation's technology can deliver motion-based services over standard mobile phones and other wireless devices.
