Honda Motor Co. will add a new car to its U.S. model line in 2006 that will be smaller and cheaper than the Civic, Bloomberg News reports. The car will be priced at less than $15,000, less than Honda’s entry-level Civic. Honda declined to say whether the vehicle would be a version of the Japanese Fit model. Honda filed for 10 Fit-related U.S. trademarks last year, the news agency reports. The Fit was the best selling car in Japan last year. The car is an MPV—a mini minivan—similar to Mazda’s MPV. It sells as the Jazz in Europe.
