WASHINGTON—A National Highway Traffic Safety Administration safety investigation found no defect with the throttle control system in three Toyota models, according to a Reuters report released Tuesday. Regulators investigated certain Camry, Camry Solara and Lexus ES300 models after receiving reports of 30 crashes that injured at least five people. Complaints said the vehicles suddenly and unexpectedly surged forward. More than 1 million vehicles from the 2002 and 2003 model years were covered by the investigation that was closed on July 22 with no action taken, safety agency documents showed.
