Florida residents affected by Hurricane Charley will receive extra time to pay loan or lease payments without a late fee, reported Automotive News. Ford Motor Credit will extend payment due dates by two months for customers who live in the 25 counties declared as disaster areas by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, according to Automotive News. In addition, Chrysler Financial and GMAC will defer payments without fees for customers after their specific situation is examined. Customers must call each company’s 800 number to take advantage of the extended payment due dates. Florida residents and business owners who lost vehicles in the hurricane will also receive $750 off the price of a new General Motors, Chrysler group or Ford vehicle, according to the Automotive News report.
