The parents of a Missouri man are suing a Texas trucking company, an Associated Press report said Thursday. The suit alleges the company should have better supervised the truck driver who caused a wreck that killed their son. The lawsuit alleges that Texas International Express driver Hilario Rodriguez's rig hit a vehicle carrying Daniel Hartwig on July first of last year. Hartwig died the next day. In their St. Louis Circuit Court lawsuit, Hartwig's parents allege the company was responsible for preventing Rodriguez's carelessness and negligence. The suit also says the Houston-area company failed to require Rodriguez to log his hours behind the wheel, and set a schedule that he couldn't meet without driving long hours, the AP report said.
