Starting today and running through the end of November, NAFA’s 2005 Membership Drive is on. All NAFA members and affiliates are invited to participate to win a free registration to the 2006 FMI-LEG Conference to be held in Orlando, Florida, May 6-9. “Our members know and understand the value of NAFA. Collectively, we’re a giving community; many, many members, affiliates, have experienced just that,” states Oleg Cytowicz, automotive fleet coordinator of Unilever HPC U.S.A. and chair of the National Membership Committee. “This member-get-a-member contest provides a great opportunity to identify prospective NAFA colleagues and get a little something back.” How does this member-get-a-member contest work? For each new fleet manager member that a NAFA member or affiliate recruits between June 1 and November 30, 2005, one ticket will be entered in a drawing to win a 2006 Institute registration. Applications must clearly indicate the current member/affiliate’s name for participants to be eligible for the drawing (under “SPONSOR” on the form). Member applications may be downloaded from www.nafa.org/2005drive. Up to five free registrations will be awarded. In addition to the drawing for a free registration, NAFA coupon dollars are being offered for each application processed within the contest rules. “Many of us move in the same circles as our competitors. Mostly, we’re not dealing with trade secrets, but with service. So, we need to identify all the players,” Cytowicz emphasizes. He explains that members and affiliates should be looking to attract these folks to “keep benefits fresh and current as possible” so that “our resources can only increase.” To get contest details, download applications, and review ideas on how to get started, visit www.nafa.org/2005drive. Winners to be announced in January 2006.
