Saab is rolling out its 2006 9-5 lineup, offering luxury and responsiveness in the midsize performance car category For 2006, the 9-5 range refreshes its look with exterior sheet metal, enhancements to the chassis and powertrain and new instrumentation and "infotainment" systems. The Linear, Arc and Aero models will be merged in to a single model – the 2.3T – in sedan and wagon body styles. The SportWagon is now called the SportCombi. The new Saab 9-5 Sedan and SportCombi range design caters to the independent-minded professionals who prioritize good aesthetic and original design that offers strong styling, performance and safety. The Saab 9-5 series has a strong, worldwide following, however, Saab expects the new range to attract new customers to the brand. Saab’s new range of 9-5's was unveiled at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show, Saab Automobile managing director Jan-Ake Jonsson lauded the auto series for its sleek design and environmentally friendly BioPower engine.
