The Dodge Ram Mega Cab was recognized last week as the most accessory friendly truck at the 2005 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, capturing one of three SEMA Vehicle Design Awards to join a prestigious list of past winners. "The Dodge Ram Mega Cab offers significant opportunities for aftermarket accessorization. The possibilities to enhance the cab of this Dodge are limited only by the imagination of the specific accessory manufacturer,” commented Larry Weiner, president of Performance West Group, Inc. The Dodge Charger won in the car category, while the Chevrolet HHR took home the SUV award. "The return of the Charger brand is certain to spawn a new generation of aftermarket consumers reliving their childhood dreams through the modern version,” said Brad Grissom, vice president of Marketing and Product Development at Ingalls Engineering Co. "The aftermarket will have a heyday with this SUV, and die-hard GM fans now have their own little HHR cruiser to kick out,” said David M. Gordon, western regional sales manager for Hamsar Diversco, Inc., adding that the "retro-looking multi-use HHR lends itself to many different styling directions.” Those included in the Vehicle Design Awards selection process were SEMA member companies who regularly participate in technology sharing programs.
