From its high-strength structure to its active safety systems, Dodge Journey is designed and engineered to help keep its occupants safe and secure, the automaker reports.

Standard safety equipment includes: six air bags, antilock brakes (ABS), electronic stability program with all-speed traction control, electronic roll mitigation and trailer sway control. Brake assist ensures maximum braking action during panic stops and rollover sensing deploys seat-mounted side air bags.

The all new Journey also features tire pressure monitoring that alerts drivers to low tire pressure and facilitates safe handling, along with brake-park interlock that prevents automatic transaxle from being shifted out of park or neutral without first applying brakes.

This crossover has an available third-row seat that folds flat for added cargo space and a 90-degree rear door opening that provide easy entry and exit.

The Dodge Journey boasts a fuel-efficient 2.4-liter I-4 world engine with a manufacturer estimated 19 city/25 highway mpg, and 173 hp and 166 lb-ft of torque.
