SACRAMENTO, CA – The California Air Resources Board has approved a $15,000 incentive for the first Transit Connect Electric purchased by a commercial or municipal fleet for deployment in the state of California. The program begins on Nov. 1 and will run until Feb. 2012, when the program’s incentive structure will change.

Subsequent unit purchases qualify for incentive support of $12,000 with a maximum of 100 vans per customer. The California program is supported by specific endowments and is administered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Beginning in February 2012, the program will offer up to $12,000 for the first three Transit Connect Electric vans and up to $10,000 for subsequent purchases up to 100 vans per customer.
