—Eckhaus Fleet announced in a Jan. 16 press release that it was chosen to sell the all-electric Mitsubishi MiEV, nationwide to commercial and government fleets.

The Mitsubishi i has a range of about 62 miles per charge from a lithium-ion battery pack and 112-combined MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent).

According to the release, Mitsubishi has delivered approximately 20,000 of the EVs in Japan and Europe.

A special fleet model that includes Level 3 Fast Charging capabilities is priced at $30,650 including delivery —plus tax and licensing. Tax incentives include $7,500 from the federal government and any state incentives. In addition, many local districts have incentives available too.
This would bring the price down to $23,150, or less.

The Mitsubishi i-MiEV was rated as the No. 1 most fuel-efficient 2012-model year vehicles by the Department of Energy.
