IRVINE, CA – Mazda North American Operations announced the MSRP for its all-new 2013 CX-5 compact crossover SUV. The 2013 CX-5 Sport starts at $20,695 MSRP. The CX-5 Sport models, equipped with the optional SKYACTIV-Drive six-speed automatic transmission, start at an MSRP of $22,095. SKYACTIV-Drive is standard on CX-5 Touring models, which start at $23,895 MSRP, with front-wheel-drive (FWD) and $25,145 MSRP when equipped with AWD. Maxda said the CX-5 Grand Touring models are available in either FWD or AWD configurations and start at $27,045 and $28,295 MSRP, respectively.

MSRP does not include the $795 destination charge (Alaska $840), title, taxes, license, options, and dealer charges.

Mazda also posted somewhat revised fuel economy numbers for this new model, which are 35 highway and 29 mpg combined. According to an earlier news release from Mazda, estimated EPA fuel economy for the CX-5 is 26 city, 33 highway for a front-wheel drive equipped with SKYACTIV-MT. When equipped with SKYACTIV-Drive, the front-wheel drive model can get 26 city, 32 highway. The all-wheel drive version, only available with SKYACTIV-Drive, also gets an EPA fuel-economy rating of 25 city, 30 highway.
