Landi Renzo USA and Reading Equipment & Distribution announced Aug. 15 a partnership to produce and deliver alternative fuel vehicles using compressed natural gas (CNG) directly to Ford dealerships across North America.

Ship-thru Installation

As a Qualified Vehicle Modifier (QVM) of Ford vehicles, Landi Renzo's bi-fuel CNG system will be fully integrated as close to the OEM level as possible and installed on Ford F-250 and F-350 trucks by Reading Equipment & Distribution at its Ford ship-thru facility in Louisville, Ky, according to the announcement.

Ordering bi-fuel equipped trucks is as simple as a Ford dealer checking the option code on the vehicle order form, which then routes the vehicle through Reading's alternative fuel ship-thru and delivered anywhere in the country.

Andrea Landi, President of Landi Renzo USA commented, "Landi Renzo is proud to be partnering with Reading to bring this level of ease in ordering and delivery of our CNG equipped Ford systems."

Bi-fuel System

The EPA certified Landi Renzo/Reading bi-fuel CNG system allows Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks to operate on either natural gas or gasoline. The 21 and 24 gasoline-gallon-equivalent tanks are part of a system that complies with the Federal Motor Vehicles Safety Standards and Regulations. Service can be conducted by any authorized local dealer and will be backed by a comprehensive warranty that mirrors factory specifications.

"We are pleased to have entered into this agreement with Landi Renzo" commented Mike Snyder, Director of Sales for Reading Equipment & Distribution. "As the world's largest alternative fuel modifier, they bring innovation and experience to this emerging growth market. Coupling our experience and facilities with them will allow us to serve the marketplace in an aggressive and cost efficient manner."
