GE Capital Fleet Services has announced the promotion of Marian Powell to the position of senior vice president of its North America Core Commercial organization with responsibilities for all sales, marketing, product management and e-business functions. Powell most recently led e-business, marketing and product management for Fleet Services and previously directed the North American Operations group. Powell has held several key senior management positions within her 14-year career at GE including leadership posts at GE Capital Railcar Services in human resources, advertising, marketing, customer service and quality. Powell holds a bachelor of fine arts degree from the Cleveland Institute of Art and an MBA from DePaul University in Chicago. Rich Bacon, who previously led North American Sales for Fleet Services, has been promoted to lead sales and marketing for GE Transportation Systems' Global Signaling Business in Blue Springs, Mo. Bacon has 25 years of experience in various GE sales and commercial leadership positions.
