VIA Motors has launched production of its hybrid electric Chevrolet Silverado pickup and Chevrolet Express cargo and passenger vans, Chairman Bob Lutz announced in Detroit.
The Elk Grove Village, Ill., HVAC company recently converted 90 percent of its fleet to gasoline/LPG bi-fuel systems, significantly reducing fuel and maintenance costs.

General Motors has added several new enhancements to its Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana for the 2015 model year, as its 2015 Chevrolet City Express compact van replaces the 1500-level full-size model that has been discontinued.

The automaker’s 70th recall of this year includes 2014-MY Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD pickup trucks.
