The recall, due to get under way Oct. 20, covers nearly 48,000 minivans equipped with the eight-passenger seating option.
Built to compete with the Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna, the four-door, six-, seven-, or eight-passenger Pacifica matches its rivals’ combined city/highway fuel efficiency score of 22 miles per gallon (mpg).

All-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is the sixth generation minivan from Chrysler, which re-engineered it from the ground up on an all-new platform. Pacifica replaces the popular, prior generation Chrysler Town & Country.

The recall covers more than 3,500 minivans built from Feb. 22 through April 28 of this year.
