Ford Motor Co. is issuing a safety recall in a few of its trucks and SUVs for a potential lack of a seat restraint. Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries associated with any of these conditions.
Ford Motor Co. will offer commercial fleet incentives for its F-150, Super Duty, Ranger, Transit, and other models, the company has announced. Ford announced most of its car and SUV incentives in June.
Ford made plenty of changes to its sixth-generation 2020 Explorer, including adding a hybrid variant, a suite of driver-assisting safety technology, and a host of engineering updates that significantly improve the driving dynamics on roads and trails.
The 2020 Explorer arrives in a year that will bring a string of new Ford vehicles, including the Explorer-based 2020 Police Interceptor Utility for law enforcement fleets and a hybrid-electric Explorer that will debut at the Detroit auto show next week.
The recall involves 2,195 2017-model year Ford F-150 pickups, Explorer SUVs and Super Duty pickups in the U.S.
The safety compliance recall affects more than 5,000 2016 model-year pickup trucks and SUVs in the U.S.

Ford gave its top-selling SUV a heavy refresh for the 2016 model year that included a more efficient inline-4, rugged exterior styling, optional 20-inch wheels, and available Terrain Management System adjusts torque depending on the driving conditions.
The recall, tied to engine block heaters, covers 5,536 SUVs in the U.S. and Canada.
