Due to the current pandemic, the application deadline for this South Coast AQMD grant funding program has been extended to Aug. 4.
SoCalGas customers have submitted more than 150 applications to the SCAQMD as part of the $21 million Prop 1B incentive pool. Owners whose applications are accepted will receive $100,000 towards the purchase of a new near-zero natural gas truck.
ARB will use the majority of those funds for its California Clean Vehicle Rebate Project to provide incentives for the purchase of zero-emission and plug-in hybrid passenger cars, and another percentage will go toward hybrid and zero-emission trucks and buses.
