BraunAbility has installed a rear-entry ramp and a new restraint system that’s designed to secure a wheelchair in the NV200 Taxi. Nissan is now calling this van model the Nissan Mobility Taxi.
In a partnership between Ford and MobilityWorks, a national commercial van upfitter, the Ford Transit Connect mobility taxi will have a wheelchair accessibility option that includes a rear ramp, as well as a short, lowered ramp designed to let passengers quickly enter and exit the vehicle.
