Ford Motor Company

Ford will continue several of its truck and van models into 2024. But the company reported it cancelled the Transit Connect and will exit the market by the end of 2024.

Models available for 2024:

• Maverick: Available in XL, XLT, and Lariat. The Maverick has the standard 2.0L EcoBoost engine and the 2.5L full hybrid powertrain available.
• Ford Ranger: Available in XL, XLT, Lariat, and Raptor, the Ranger has a new style, interior tech, zone lighting, and towing tech.
• F Series:
  • o F-150.
  • o F-250.
  • o F-350.
  • o F-450.
  • o F-550.
  • o F-650.
• F-150 Lightning: All current trims are available, but Ford also introduced the Platinum Black special edition, which drapes the Lightning in a matte-black wrap. A new Flash trim has also been added to the lineup. The Flash features all of the Lightning's tech bundled in one package, including the larger 15.5-inch infotainment screen, the biggest battery pack, and Ford's Blue Cruise hands-free driving mode.

Freightliner

In 2024, Freightliner will discontinue the production of legacy Freightliner M2/SD models (M2106, M2112, 108SD, and 114SD), with only two exceptions:

• Hydraulic brake applications.
• MBE900 for export and US exemption.

Ram Trucks (Stellantis)

Ram Trucks continues to offer its reliable trucks and vans for 2024. Plus, an electric version of the Ram ProMaster will also be available. Ram announced it will offer electrified solutions in most segments by 2025 and in all its segments no later than 2030.

Models available for 2024:

• Ram 1500 — Available in Sport, Night Edition, Laramine, Rebel, and Limited Longhorn Southfork editions. The 2024 Ram 1500 showcases a Best-in-Class Maximum Hybrid Towing Capacity, offering 12,750 lbs. with the 5.7L Hemi V8 engine.
• Ram 2500 (or HD) — With a maximum towing capability of up to 19,990 lbs. by equipping the available 6.7L Cummins Turbo Diesel I6 engine, this truck can effortlessly tow campers, trailers, and various other loads.
• Ram 3500 — The heavy-duty pickup presents a maximum diesel towing capability of up to 37,090 lbs. when fitted with the High-Output 6.7L Cummins Turbo Diesel I6 engine.
• Ram ProMaster — The latest iteration of the Ram ProMaster van stands as the most advanced version yet, serving as a dedicated Class 2 full-size van tailored for businesses, construction sites, and commercial fleets.
• Ram ProMaster Electric Van — Ram's full-sized, all-electric commercial van will provide customers with a sustainable alternative to the gasoline and diesel options available.

Mack

In the realm of Mack vehicles, the Mack MD Series is continuing into 2024. Plus, there's an electrifying development on the horizon with the imminent production launch of the Mack MD Electric.

This electrified counterpart, available in either class 6 or class 7, represents Mack's commitment to innovation, offering a powerful and sustainable solution for the evolving needs of the modern transport landscape.

• Mack MD Series:
  • MD6: The MD6 model features a power range of 220 to 300 horsepower and an impressive 600 to 660 lb.-ft torque.
  • MD7: The MD7 model represents a pinnacle of performance with a horsepower range of 220 to 300 and a torque output of 600 to 660 lb.-ft. Engineered for substantial capability, it has a front axle capacity of 12,000 lbs. and 21,000 lbs. rear axle capacity.
•  The Mack MD Electric: The MD Electric will be offered in both Class 6 and Class 7 ratings, mirroring its diesel counterpart. The Class 6 variant has a GVWR of 25,995 pounds, while the Class 7 model has a GVWR of 33,000 pounds.

Mercedes-Benz Vans

Mercedes-Benz Vans continues to improve and upgrade its vans. This year, it’s emphasizing electric and gas vans.

Models available in 2024:

• eSprinter: It has the same versatile features and advanced technologies found in its gas-powered counterpart but with a fully electric drivetrain.
•  Sprinter Cargo Van: Available in Class 2-5, it starts with a 144" wheelbase standard roof and 4-cylinder diesel standard output.

Nissan

Nissan continues offering pickup trucks and still has no plans to produce vans.

In 2023, it celebrated four decades of its first pickup truck, the 720.

• Titan: The 5.6L Endurance V-8 gasoline engine, a standard feature (excluding EVs), provides 400 horsepower and 413 lb.-ft. of torque. The Nissan Safety Shield 360, comprising six advanced driver-assist systems, is a standard inclusion on every Titan model. Nissan confirmed the 2024 model will be the last Titan model.
• Frontier: This grade consolidates various features, including LED lighting, leather-appointed seating, a Fender 10-speaker audio system, and more. It represents a highly equipped midsize truck, bringing together premium amenities within a specific grade level. An SL grade to Crew Cab models is also available.

Isuzu 

In 2024, Isuzu will unveil its latest additions to the lineup — the gas-powered Class 5 NQR and NRR trucks.

The NQR, with a 17,950-lbs. GVWR, and its sturdier counterpart, the NRR with a 19,500-lbs. GVWR, are now offered in Standard Cab configurations with wheelbases ranging from 132.5 to 176 inches.

Additionally, the versatility extends to Crew Cab models, available with wheelbases of either 150 or 176 inches.

Models available for 2024:

• Isuzu NPR Gas LCF Truck: With a GVWR of 12,000 lb., it is a Class 3 or Class 4 vehicle. Its wheelbase spans from 109 to 176 inches, accommodating body lengths of up to 20 feet. Under the hood, it has a 6.6L GMPT Gen V L8T V8 gasoline engine that generates 350 horsepower at 4,500 rpm and an impressive 425 lbs.-ft. of torque at 3,800 rpm.
• Isuzu NQR Gas LCF Truck: With a GVWR 17,950 lb. and Class 5 rating, its adaptability is evident in wheelbases spanning from 132 to 176 inches, accommodating body lengths of up to 20 feet. Propelling this truck is a potent 6.6L GMPT Gen V L8T V8 gasoline engine, delivering an impressive 350 horsepower at 4,500 rpm and a torque of 425 lbs.-ft. at 3,800 rpm.
• Isuzu NRR Gas LCF Truck: A Class 5 vehicle featuring a GVWR of 19,500 lb. It offers adaptability and accommodates wheelbases ranging from 132 to 176 inches, allowing for body lengths of up to 20 feet. Notable performance features include a stainless steel 38.6-gallon fuel tank and 4-wheel disc brakes, ensuring durability and efficient braking capabilities.
• Isuzu U NPR-HD Diesel LCF Truck: A Class 4 vehicle with a GVWR of 14,500 lb. Its design showcases adaptability, with wheelbases spanning 109 to 176 inches, accommodating body lengths of up to 20 feet. Powering this truck is a 5.2L Isuzu 4HK1-TC turbocharged intercooled diesel engine, boasting a B-10 rating of 375,000 miles.
• 2024 Isuzu NPR-XD Diesel. LCF Truck: a Class 4 vehicle with GVWR of 16,000 lb. It’s equipped with a stainless steel 30-gallon fuel tank and offers a crew cab option, providing seating for up to seven passengers. The braking system comprises a 4-wheel disc setup, ensuring reliable and effective braking capabilities.
• Isuzu NQR Diesel. LCF Truck: A Class 5 vehicle with GVWR of 17,950 lb. The engine delivers a 215 horsepower at 2,500 rpm and a robust torque of 452 lbs.-ft. at 1,850 rpm. The powertrain is managed by an Aisin A465id 6-speed double overdrive automatic transmission featuring a lockup torque converter and a PTO opening.
• Isuzu NRR Diesel LCF Truck: A GVWR of 19,500 lb. and is a Class 5. There is a Crew cab option for up to seven passengers, and a 4-wheel disc brake system. Vehicle assist features: Electronic Vehicle Stability Control, Standard with Anti-Slip Regulation, and Adaptive Cruise Control. Advanced Driver Assistance System – Factory Optional with Automatic Emergency Braking System and Lane Departure Warning System.
• Isuzu FTR LCF Truck: With a GVWR of 25,950 lb. it is a Class 6 truck. Wheelbases are 152-248 inches in. with body lengths up to 30 ft. It also features a Cummins single module after-treatment. 50- or 100-gallon aluminum fuel tank.
• Isuzu FVR Derate LCF Truck: Class 6 LCF Truck featuring a GVWR of 25,950 lb. It offers wheelbases ranging from 152 to 248 inches, accommodating body lengths of up to 30 feet. Powering this truck is a potent 6.7L Cummins B6.7 diesel engine, delivering 260 horsepower at 2,400 rpm and a torque of 660 lbs.-ft. at 1,600 rpm.

Kenworth

Kenworth has several notable additions introduced to its 2024 models. These include the introduction of a vocational hood designed for full parent rails, featuring front engine power take-off, and tailored for fixed grille applications.

Another significant addition is implementing an internal bug screen designed for aero hood configurations.

Additionally, there has been an expansion in the front drive axle options, showcasing a commitment to diversifying and improving the product lineup.

• T180 Class 5: Over 500 individuals actively participated in design studies, contributing valuable insights that guided Kenworth in defining the dimensions and refining the ergonomics of their latest models. The result is a new 2.1-meter cab that is 8 inches wider than its predecessor. Notably, the enlarged front windshield, complemented by the hood's steep slope, enhances visibility by nearly 17% compared to earlier Kenworth medium-duty models.
• T280 Class 6: The recently developed aero grille is crafted annealed stainless steel, providing enhanced durability and protection against the elements. The crowns are either chrome or in-mold dark gray, offering aesthetic flexibility. Additionally, an external winter front or bug screen can be affixed to the front of the grille for added functionality.
•  T380/T380V Class 7: The versatile Class 7 T380, available as a straight truck or tractor, presents a maximum Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of up to 33,000 lbs. This makes it a multifaceted performer, well-suited for various vocations.
• K270/K370 Class 6/7: The standard configuration includes a 6.7-L PACCAR PX-7 engine, delivering a rating of 220 horsepower and 520 lb.-ft. of torque. Complementing this is a standard Allison 2100HS five-speed transmission. Inside the cabin, drivers benefit from a standard air-ride seat for enhanced comfort, while passengers enjoy a two-person bench with storage space underneath.
• Battery-electric K270E/K370E Class 6/7: High-capacity battery packs provide a range of up to 200 miles, ensuring emission-free operation, and can be recharged in just two hours using DC charging. These features make the vehicle ideal for various local distribution, pickup and delivery, and last-mile logistics applications.

General Motors

General Motors is returning the Silverado HD for its heavy-duty truck customers. This model comes with powertrain upgrades, with a more imposing exterior presence alongside a redesigned interior. Additionally, improvements have been made to its trailering technology, while upgrades to infotainment and active safety technology further enhance the overall driving experience.

Plus, the company introduced the 2024 Silverado EV by Chevrolet. According to a GM survey, 87% of these reservation holders expressed their intention to utilize their Silverado EV for towing purposes.

• Colorado ZR2 Bison: Developed in collaboration with American Expedition Vehicles, its engineered for any terrain. • GMC Sierra 3500 Heavy Duty Chassis Cab: The 2024 model features a 6.6L V8 gas engine and four-wheel antilock disc brakes with Duralift brake rotors. There is also a remote start, snow plow prep package, and upfitter switches available.

• Chevrolet LCF: Available for 2024 and 2025, the upcoming Chevy LCF (Low Cab Forward) line of medium-duty trucks is set to introduce two additional configurations powered by gasoline engines, the 5500 HG and 5500 XG.
