DEARBORN, MI – Although Ford said its SYNC system would be available on the all-new Fusion and Flex, the automaker recently announced that its SYNC, with MyFord Touch, will be standard on all models of the Fusion (including the plug-in electric hybrid Fusion Energi) and Flex.

Users can connect compatible phones and media players to SYNC through a standard USB port or wirelessly via Bluetooth.

“Ford SYNC technology has led the industry in transforming the way we connect to our cars,” said Dave Mondragon, Ford general marketing manager. “SYNC has enabled Ford drivers to take advantage of the latest communication and entertainment technology with an easily upgradeable architecture that is friendly to use.”

Ford said it projects 9 million more SYNC-powered vehicles over the next three years.
