New York City Ranked Worst for Drivers

House Bill Would Up Fuel Tax By Over 10 Cents

Aiming to address both the lack of funding for the Highway Trust Fund and the lack of trust in finding a long-term solution for that, Rep. Tim Rice (R-SC) has introduced a bill that would hike federal motor-fuel taxes by 10.1 cents per gallon and index the new rate to inflation.

Ore. Begins Per-Mile Road Use Charge Program

The State of Oregon on July 1 kicked off a new pay-by-the-mile road usage charge program. This program charges volunteer users 1.5 cents per mile while driving in Oregon and allows them to receive credit on their bill for state gas tax paid at the pump.
