Wright Express has created a new co-brand commercial fleet charge card for Wells Fargo Fleet Services Inc. of Minneapolis, Minn. Wells Fargo Fleet Services provides vehicle leasing services to commercial customers nationwide, with a strong presence in the Midwest. Wells Fargo's leasing portfolio has about 6,000 vehicles, including automobiles, light- and medium-duty trucks and light-duty cargo vans. "Our new partnership with Wright Express allows us to offer our customers a value-added feature and will help us to expand our commercial fleet business," said Jerome W. Fons, general manager of Wells Fargo Fleet Services. "We chose Wright Express as our card provider because the company is the leader in the fleet charge-card industry." Wells Fargo Fleet Services offers comprehensive fleet leasing and management services to businesses with fleets of up to 500 vehicles. The company was created when Wells Fargo & Company acquired Greater Midwest Leasing Company of Minneapolis in May of 1999. Wright Express provides information processing, financial and information management services through co-branded fleet charge cards with 27 partners, including the major vehicle leasing companies and vehicle service and parts providers.
