Wright Express LLC, a provider of fleet information management, payment processing and financial services in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico, has announced it will roll out its WEXOnline Internet fleet management offering to all current and prospective car, van and truck fleet customers. Vehicle fleet managers at companies of all sizes will find the account maintenance and querying support provided by WEXOnline a valuable complement to the monthly detailed reporting currently provided by Wright Express, according to Michael E. Dubyak, president and CEO of Wright Express. “Wright Express has been working with existing customers to create an accessible online tool that meets all the information needs of fleet managers,” Dubyak said. “In a competitive business environment it is important that an organization be able to make fleet decisions quickly rather than wait for a monthly analysis to assess performance. With WEXOnline, decisions can be made as transactions are posted in a secure, password protected Internet environment. “Our pilot offering has been developed using the feedback and input from customers,” Dubyak said. “By incorporating many of the features of our standard offering and including benefits unique to an online channel, we feel this management method has evolved into a superior analysis tool enabling fleet managers to find the most cost effective and efficient ways to manage vehicles.” Through its fleet fueling card program Wright Express says it consistently captures and provides customers with point of sale data including odometer readings, purchase data, and driver identification details. According to Dubyak, with WEXOnline Wright Express customers will now be able to track transactions, as they are processed, in order to: ● View, update and analyze account information in real time including the ability to add and terminate drivers and fuel cards. ● Pose detailed queries for exceptions, summaries or transaction details. ● Download data to other reporting programs and spreadsheets. Dubyak said additional benefits allow users to query accounts to determine which cards and/or drivers are active, and to search for fuel merchant locations that accept the Wright Express card. “Finally, flexible querying allows customers to run ad-hoc queries on transactions, vehicles, drivers and merchant sites by designating specific parameters and sort options," Dubyak said. "The variety of information filters available allows information to be managed productively.” WEXOnline offers several types of access to accounts depending upon customer need such as account maintenance access, querying access, or both. In addition, each account manager may assign varying levels of access to users within the organization (according to national ID, account, department, or “read only”). Each user may personalize online account access in order to meet individual needs and information management goals. "WEXOnline is a valuable component of any fleet management program," Dubyak said.
