ACEEE To Release "Green Book" Ranking Greenest 2003 Cars and SUVs

The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE)will release the new ACEEE's Green Book: The Environmental Guide toCars & Trucks -- Model Year 2003, at the monthly meeting of theWashington Automotive Press Association (WAPA).According to the ACEEE, with more and more Americans confused by the controversy over largegas-guzzling SUVs, and as manufacturers produce a wider selection ofefficient SUVs, cars, and pickup trucks, the Green Book providesthe unbiased facts necessary to compare the new 2003 models. Using its"Green Score" ranking system, ACEEE's Green Book® reveals this year's"Greenest" and "Meanest" -- the 12 least polluting, most efficientvehicles and the 12 worst. It also identifies the top-ranking models ineach vehicle class. The meeting will take place Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003, from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. st the National Press Club.
