Wright Express has announced the creation of a new division to serve heavy truck fleets and offer a comprehensive one-card solution to operators of mixed and private fleets. According to the company, the new division, to be called Wright Express Heavy Truck, will allow Wright Express to more effectively continue its expansion into the heavy truck market, including development of new program features to meet the specific needs of heavy truck fleets. With Heavy Truck, Wright Express says it has created a better vehicle to deliver its service, in-depth reporting and data collection capabilities, and internet-based account management tools to this market. In recent weeks, Wright Express reached acceptance deals with top truck stop and cardlock site operators and previously formed alliances to provide new services such as IFTA reporting, integrated fuel price reporting with mapping and routing functionality and price risk management. "Our new Heavy Truck division allows us to bring the same quality service and unmatched program features to the heavy truck market that our other fleet customers have enjoyed for years," said Michael Dubyak, president of Wright Express. "We believe that our program will especially appeal to managers of mixed fleets and private fleets, who need a one-card solution with the advanced reporting capabilities that Wright Express offers. We are excited about the opportunities that exist for Wright Express in the heavy truck market." Wright Express, a provider of fleet cards and fleet card services, says it plans to build on its success in serving the light and medium truck fleets. Wright Express cards are already accepted at more than 160,000 locations, including 45,000 retail locations that sell diesel fuel. The company believes this acceptance and experience with smaller fleets will appeal to managers of mixed fleets looking for a single card program. A one-card solution will allow them to streamline administrative tasks to save money and receive more comprehensive reporting across all categories. Among the other tools available through Wright Express is its Internet-based account management tool that allows fleet managers to run reports, view transactions as they post and perform account management duties all from an integrated platform.
