The 2004 3.5 RL luxury sedan will be priced at $45,600 when it goes on sale Mar. 5 at Acura dealers nationwide. This price represents a $450 increase compared to a 2003 model equipped with the Acura Satellite-Linked Navigation System or a 0.69 percent increase based on a sales-weighted average. For 2004, a new navigation system becomes standard equipment and receives a host of improvements including voice recognition capability, 3-dimensional graphics for freeway on and off-ramps and a database that includes 7 million points of interest, up from 3.7 million on the 2003 version, according to the company. The 2004 RL also becomes the first luxury sedan to include XM Satellite Radio, which provides access to over 100 digital-quality stations, as standard equipment. For 2004, the RL also receives a variety of interior enhancements, including an upgraded Acura/Bose Music system and driver’s seat power lumbar support, that build on the car’s already unparalleled level of quality and craftsmanship. New trim features include a redesigned center console, meter panel and steering wheel, brushed metal and chrome interior accents and a wood-pattern shifter knob.
