Audi is offering LTE wireless connectivity in one of its models, the A3 Sportback, and plans to offer it in all other A3 models starting in November. The automaker said LTE technology is important for its Audi connect system.
Audi plans to bring the 2015 editions of its A3 compact sedans to the U.S. in the first quarter of 2014.
Out of 23 diesel models measured, eight had a total cost of ownership lower than their all-gasoline powered counterparts.
According to Edmunds, the Audi A3 has achieved the greatest increase in fuel economy since 2008, more than any other vehicle on the U.S. market.
The A3 e-tron features a fully electric powertrain with a 26kw lithium-ion battery, zero driving emissions, 199 lb.-ft. torque, a battery range of approximately 90 miles and a top speed of 90 mph.
