This safety recall expansion involves approximately 1,584,000 additional Toyota vehicles in the U.S., including older Corolla, 4Runner and Lexus ES vehicles.
Lexus has refreshed its ES entry luxury sedan for 2016 with styling updates and a new engine for the Chinese market, the automaker announced at the Shanghai auto show.
The 2013-MY Lexus ES, Hyundai Santa Fe and Subaru XV Crosstrek were given the top award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
The luxury sedans will arrive at dealerships next month.
When it comes to handling, the ES 350 features improved front and rear suspension and a reduced steering ratio to deliver more responsive steering. As well, both models feature a Drive Mode selector, which offers Normal, Sport, and Eco modes as options.
Featuring a 2.5L four-cylinder Atkinson cycle engine, the ES 300h hybrid is expected to earn an EPA fuel economy rating of approximately 40 mpg combined city/highway.
