General Motors has added a rear-view camera to all 2015 Buick models to help reduce back-up crashes, the automaker has announced.
A study conducted by the University of Michigan's Transportation Research Institute in the fall of 2013 found that rear back-up cameras significantly reduce back-up crashes. In 97 percent of the cases, the backing vehicle struck another vehicle, the study reported.
The Buick lineup for 2015 includes the Verano, LaCrosse, Enclave, Encore with all-wheel drive, and Regal.
