As fleet operations continue to navigate technician shortages, demanding schedules, and around-the-clock service expectations, DECKED is launching a Father’s Day initiative focused on one thing many working dads say they don’t get enough of: time.
The company’s “Dad Time Off” program will reimburse a day’s wages for 100 fathers, allowing them to take a day off without the financial stress that often comes with stepping away from work.

Submissions are open through June 21, and dads can nominate themselves or be nominated by others.
“In the fleet world, you’re always keeping tabs on everyone else’s downtime, but now it’s time to take some of your own,” said Bridget Noonan, brand director for DECKED. “This Father’s Day, DECKED wants to reward the dads who keep our industries moving with the ultimate upgrade: actual, uninterrupted time off.”
According to a DECKED-commissioned study in 2025, working fathers continue to face challenges balancing career demands with family responsibilities, with many reporting they have missed important family moments because of work obligations.
The findings reflect broader conversations happening across the fleet industry around employee retention, burnout, and workplace flexibility. While compensation remains important, many workers increasingly value schedule flexibility and personal time as part of overall job satisfaction.
“For many working dads, being present for their kids can mean sacrificing income,” Noonan said. “For at least one day, we want to eliminate that tough choice.”

The program also serves as a reminder that wellness initiatives do not always require large-scale policy changes. Sometimes, even one intentional day away from the job can make an impact.
Linxup and Applause partnered to combine driver safety data, technician performance metrics and customer feedback into a single incentive platform aimed at improving retention and service performance.
Trucker Path and Truckstop.com partnered to integrate Truckstop freight listings into the TruckLoads mobile app, expanding load availability and carrier access across North America.
