New Kooner and Global Partners Agreement Targets the Hassle of Fleet Fueling and Repairs
A new referral partnership gives businesses access to mobile fueling and maintenance services, potentially reducing the time employees spend getting vehicles serviced.

A new referral partnership between Kooner Fleet Management Solutions and Global Partners gives businesses access to mobile fueling and maintenance services, potentially reducing the time and employee resources needed to keep company vehicles serviced and ready for work.
Kooner Fleet Management Solutions
When you're running a small business, getting a company vehicle serviced isn't always as simple as scheduling an appointment. Someone has to drop it off, arrange a ride back, and figure out how to get the day's work done without that vehicle.
And if you're the person managing the business, you're probably the person figuring all of that out, too.
A new referral partnership between Kooner Fleet Management Solutions and Global Partners aims to make those responsibilities a little easier by connecting businesses with on-site vehicle maintenance and fueling services.
The companies will refer customers to one another when their operations call for services outside their existing provider's area of expertise.
Less Time Coordinating Vehicle Service
Through the agreement, businesses working with Kooner can access Global Partners' fueling services, including bulk fuel delivery, mobile refueling, wet hosing, fleet fuel cards, and high-volume diesel fueling locations.
Global Partners customers can be referred to Kooner for mobile vehicle maintenance, preventive maintenance, trailer repair, DOT inspections, and recurring on-site technician support.
For a small business without a dedicated fleet manager, the potential benefit goes beyond keeping vehicles on the road. It could also mean fewer hours spent coordinating the logistics of routine vehicle care.
"For a smaller business, the person managing vehicles may also be managing employees, customers, and daily operations. Arranging a repair can mean finding someone to move the vehicle, organizing transportation back, and adjusting the day’s schedule," Bill Cooper, vice president of sales at Kooner Fleet Management Solutions, told Business Fleet.
Those responsibilities can quickly add up, particularly when vehicles are needed for customer appointments, deliveries, or daily service calls.
"Bringing services to the fleet can reduce that logistical burden. Through this referral partnership, businesses can access on-site maintenance and fueling options that help keep vehicle readiness from becoming another project for an already busy team."
Does On-Site Service Make Sense for a Small Fleet?
Mobile fueling and maintenance may sound like services designed primarily for large commercial fleets, but Cooper said fleet size isn't necessarily the deciding factor.
Instead, businesses should look at how their vehicles operate, where they're parked, and how much time employees currently spend getting them serviced.
"The operating pattern often matters more than the fleet size. We see a strong fit when vehicles regularly return to a common yard, lot, or terminal and have predictable periods when they’re parked. That gives providers a practical opportunity to service multiple vehicles in one location," Cooper told Business Fleet.
A business with several vehicles parked together overnight, for example, may have an opportunity to arrange service without interrupting its regular work schedule.
But convenience alone doesn't determine whether on-site service is worth the investment. Businesses also need to consider what their current approach to fueling and maintenance actually costs.
"The financial case starts with the full cost of the current process: employee time, travel, lost vehicle availability, and disruptions to customer work. For a smaller fleet, those costs can be significant. The right question is whether bringing services on-site can reduce that burden enough to justify the service cost."
What the Partnership Means for Businesses
Kooner and Global Partners will remain separate service providers, with each company evaluating referrals and working directly with customers to identify appropriate services.
The partnership does not establish a universal fueling and maintenance package. Instead, it gives customers of either company a connection to another provider when additional fleet services are needed.
For small businesses considering mobile fueling or maintenance, the starting point is understanding how much time and money their current processes require. The value of bringing those services to their location will depend on their operating schedules, vehicle needs, and the cost of the services themselves.
