ROUSH CleanTech Recalls Propane Conversion Kits
Dealers need to replace fuel control valve solenoids to fix a problem that can lead to engine stalling.

ROUSH CleanTech is recalling 2,012 Generation 4 propane conversion kits as part of two separate recalls, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The larger of the two recalls involves 1,997 propane conversion kits sold to original equipment manufacturers and vehicle upfitters. The fuel control valve solenoid may short circuit, shutting off the flow of propane to the engine, NHTSA said. This results in the engine shutting off, increasing the risk of a crash. ROUSH’s identifying code for this recall is OE.
The second recall involves 15 conversion kits sold for aftermarket installation. The safety issue is the same. In both cases, dealers will replace the fuel control valve solenoid to resolve the problem. There will be no charge for this service. ROUSH’s identifying code for the aftermarket equipment recall is RE.
